The Story So Far

 

WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR-
Three months ago Professor David Abraham was contacted by a woman named Kara, who claimed to know about one of the original Books of History--a powerful Book that come from another reality and has the ability to create and destroy simply by writing in it. This woman, Kara, knows about the Book because she also came from the other reality into our own, and at one time possessed the Book.

David and Kara began searching together for the Book, but later discovered that others were also seeking it.  Others who would use it for unimaginable evil.  Others who want Professor Abraham and Kara dead.

When Professor Abraham disappeared in early March, Kara enlisted the help of the Circle, a secret society endeared to the Books, to take up the search where she and David left off.  Over the past several weeks, the search has led the Circle across the country, both online and offline in a race against an enemy we now have a name for: Marsuvees Black.  What we know so far:

-The night of his disappearance Professor Abraham left behind a video. In it he says that he has divided his research into two pieces. One was sent to Kara, the other was uploaded to the WIKI section of Booksofhistory.com. But in order to access it requires a password that David hid online.  The password is "335537".

- David and Kara's search for the Book led him to a Las Vegas book dealer named Miles Huntley, who was killed in a fire believed to be arson. The books that survived the fire were sold to Francesco "Frank" Miller, a Denver book dealer.

- The Circle tracked down Frank Miller, but they were too late.  A man named Jack Stroud got to Miller first and bought the Book.  Jack Stroud is a relic hunter in the employ of the X GROUP, a clandestine organization for assassination for hire and black market business activities.

- Jack Stroud is currently working for a man named Marsuvees Black.  He is now traveling across the country, en route to meet with Black.

- Stroud sees an opportunity to sell the Book to the highest bidder and has given the Circle two opportunities to meet with him--once at the Nashville airport, and once at a building in downtown Chicago.  For him, it has become a game of cat and mouse where he is using the Book as leverage.

- A member of the Circle apparently recovered a message from the Chicago meeting. We are waiting for clarification on what the message is and what we are to do with it.
